Byron Robayo is a partner at Spingarn and one of the most experienced lawyers in intellectual property, trade secret protection and technology transfer in Ecuador. During his professional career he has handled the most emblematic cases in Ecuador related to Intellectual Property, Unfair Competition, Health Law, Data Privacy, Trade Secrets, Electronic Commerce and Consumer Law for national and international companies.
He has been a consultant for the drafting of several regulatory bodies, now in force in Ecuador in various areas such as: Franchising, Licensing, Trade Secrets, Patents, Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Crowdfunding. He is currently professor of Commercial Law and also of Technology Transfer and Innovation at PUCE; he is also professor of the subject of Innovation Management of the MBA of EDES Business School; and, of the subject of Intellectual Property in the Master of Digital Law at UDLA.
