Hace unos pocos años hablar sobre la interoperabilidad de pagos electrónicos en el Ecuador, era un tema que lo esperábamos a mediano o largo plazo. Hoy, normativamente hablando, es una realidad, y su implementación está programada a corto plazo. La Junta de Política y Regulación Monetaria, a finales de diciembre de 2024 emitió la resolución No. JPRM-2024-029-M, mediante la cual implementa la interoperabilidad de pagos electrónicos e inmediatos en el país.
