Lorena Sandoval is Innovation Manager at Spingarn, is a Pure Chemistry by profession, with a Master's degree in Phytotherapy from the University of Barcelona, she has specialized in Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property at the University of Davis California in the United States, in Innovation in the MASHAV Institute in Israel and strategic intelligence and innovation at the University of Alicante.
Lorena worked for more than 5 years as coordinator of the innovation and patent area at PH INNOVATIONS, where she advised and supported Companies, SMEs and innovators in the development of products, procedures and systems with high added value, focusing her work on intelligence processes. strategy and technology transfer, as well as processes for the protection of inventions through patents, advice to entrepreneurs and innovators.
As part of her experience, she has more than 12 years as an expert in patents, in the Intellectual Property Office of Ecuador, in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, where she received training in analysis, patent search, technology transfer in the main Intellectual Property Offices around the world such as the United States Intellectual Property Office (USPTO), China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), European Patent Office (EPO), and the World Organization Offices in Germany (WIPO) ), among other.
Lorena is also a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and has been selected in 2023 as an AEI innovation mentor.
